Polly is the Nightmare's energetic wild-card. She handles their Pyrotechnics, and writes the lyrics for their songs.

In combat, Plushtrap navigates the party, and analyzes enemies.

Personality

Polly greatly values honesty and genuineness. She hates being condescended to or patronized. She'd rather face the ugly truth, no matter how much it hurts her, than pretend everything's alright, to put on a facade, to trick others like how she'd been tricked in the past. She has no filter and can be a bit rude and thoughtless as a result. Polly has a general disregard for authority, feeling strongly opposed to the idea of falling for someone's trap the same way she did Vanny's.

Her self-image is rather poor, seeing herself as a runt, an outcast who was blinded by grief. She blames herself for being tricked for so long, inadvertently helping Vanny potentially harm more people in the process. With the help of the Nightmares, she's slowly learning to forgive and love herself again.

Background

At a young age, Polly's mother had been murdered. Vanny, seeing a potential future threat after what had happened to Afton, had opted to take out Springs before setting her plan in motion. This left her daughter, Polly. Vanny saw an opportunity to take her under her wing. She'd have her very own little springs to do her bidding, and her recently deceased mother was perfect for fueling Polly with vengeance. So Vanny took her in, grooming her to be her own little obedient killer. For a while, Polly trusted Vanny and thought the extensive training was so she could one day get vengeance on the one who killed her mother. As she got older, Polly began to question Vanny's motives and what had really happened to her mother that day. Eventually, Polly began to investigate despite Vanny's attempts to dissuade her. It didn't take her long to realize that the culprit she'd been after for so long was the very person who took her in-the past years had all been a lie, told by the one who'd put her in this situation to begin with.

Furious, Polly had planned to enact revenge, but she could barely think straight. She had acted hastily, and was caught early, and was forced to run after a brief altercation. She ran until she couldn't anymore, never looking back. Eventually, she'd find herself in a neighborhood she barely recognized, at a house she didn't recognize. That house happened to be Bonnie's residence. Bonnie stumbled across Polly in her backyard, tired and battered. The two began talking, and slowly, Bonnie gained her trust. The rest is history. Polly would go on to join the Nightmares alongside Bonnie, who'd sparked Polly's love for music.

Trivia

Polly's natural hair color is Blonde. Her olive hair and fur color result from her attempts to dye her hair black, which she routinely fails to maintain. Eventually, the color stuck, although she would one day like to commit to the look fully.

Polly secretly loves wearing pretty dresses, but lacks the confidence actually to do so in front of others.
